To encourage high standards of musical performance with good musicianship in performance and in theory.

Band Exchanges With other schools | All year round | To exchange good practices with other school bands in Singapore, to share practice techniques and to create friendship with other bandsmen in Singapore. |
Concerts and Performances | All year round | To provide band members the opportunity to witness performances from other bands and ensembles, as well as be exposed to new musical styles and interpretations. |
Master Classes by Conductors and Composers | All year round | To allow students to learn of different musical interpretations and performance practices from other leaders in the field and to know the interpretation of the music scores better. |
Singapore Youth Festival | Alternate years – March - April | To provide band members with an opportunity to showcase their musicality and compete with other school bands. |
Band Camp | Mid year | To provide a platform for band members to enjoy bonding activities with each other, and for a session for the graduating batch of seniors to pass out (Passing-out-parade). |
National Day Parade | August | To provide a background music to support the commands made by the Uniform Group students, as well as performing the national anthem. |
Values In Action | End of Year | To provide a platform for band members to be socially responsible citizens who contribute meaningfully to the community, through the learning and application of values, knowledge and skills. |
