Introduction

Westwood Secondary School warmly welcomes applications from Primary 6 students through the 2025 Direct School Admission (DSA) Exercise for admission to Secondary One in 2026. We welcome Primary 6 students who have passion and talents in one of the following areas:

APPLICATION PROCEDURE

Phase 1: Dialogue Session with School Leadership Team

All shortlisted applicants will start with an in-person Dialogue Session with the School Leadership Team. During this session, the School Leadership Team will get a chance to learn about the applicants and the applicant will also get a chance to enquire more about Westwood Secondary School.

Phase 2: Simulation Challenge / Audition / Trial / Portfolio submission

On the same day after the Phase 1 Dialogue Session, applicants will move on to attend an in-person interview / audition / selection trial in their chosen talent area.

APPLICATION OUTCOME

The decision of the DSA-Sec application selection panel is FINAL
Westwood Secondary reserves the right not to reveal the reasons for the non-selection of applicants
Successful applicants who have accepted the DSA-Sec application are NOT allowed to participate in the 2026 Secondary One Posting Exercise
Successful applicants who have accepted the DSA-Sec application are NOT allowed to transfer to another school after the release of the PSLE results

Shortlist Candidates for DSA Selection	Before 4 July 2025
Selection Exercise	Dialogue Session followed by respective talent areas Interview / Audition / Trial period from 21 July 2025. All shortlisted candidates will be informed via their parent’s official email on the exact date of their Interview / Audition /Trial.
Results Release	All applicants will be informed of the DSA outcome from 25 August to 4 September 2025

Parents and students are strongly encouraged to choose schools wisely based on the student's aptitudes and strengths, bearing in mind the schools' academic and non-academic requirements, and the programmes available to develop the area of talent.

Students who are successfully admitted to the school via DSA are expected to honour their commitment to the school, and participate in the activities related to the talent they are selected for from Sec 1-4.
